WARSAW, POLAND, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Publisher 9th Exodus and solo developer HIROTONFA today announced that HIROTONFA’s American Revolution Smuggler will launch day-one in Steam bundles with six other titles, including Recettear: An Item Shop’s Tale – the influential 2010 shop-management RPG whose trading loop directly inspired Smuggler’s own.
Each bundle goes live on Steam when Early Access begins on Thursday, September 24, 2026, letting players who already own the featured game buy American Revolution Smuggler at a reduced combined price. The game launches at $19.99 with a 10% launch discount, in the 250th anniversary year of the American Revolution.
American Revolution Smuggler is a merchant sim with dice-based ship combat and dating-sim elements, set during the American Revolution. Players take on the role of Mr. Law, a debt-ridden Connecticut ex-lawyer who must sail from Quebec City to Spanish Louisiana buying low, selling high, and dodging British blockades – all while building relationships with anthropomorphic colonial states. Each state-chan runs the shop at their port, has a distinct personality, and can be romanced through a social stat system.
The Early Access build contains the complete campaign, playable from spring to winter, with four completable romance routes: Loyalist-chan, Patriot-chan, Louisiana-chan and Florida-chan. At least ten are planned for the 1.0 release, targeting 2027, with character popularity among players deciding which state receives her route next.
The game draws mechanical inspiration from Recettear (trading), 100% Orange Juice (dice combat), Sid Meier’s Pirates (sailing), FTL (crew management), and the Persona series (social stats and dating). It features dynamic war events that shift prices and blockades, faction alignment between Patriots and Loyalists, and mini-games including boxing, horse racing, and baseball.
HIROTONFA developed American Revolution Smuggler entirely solo, building its custom trading, combat, and social systems from the ground up. He has over 92,000 followers on X and previously designed the UI art for Peripeteia.
