Swenson & Shelley Law has announced that co-founding partners Kevin Swenson and Brian Shelley have been recognized in the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
Best Lawyers selects honorees through a peer-review process rather than paid submission or self-nomination. Every recognized attorney is selected through the publication’s Purely Peer Review methodology, which begins with a nomination submitted by someone other than the attorney under consideration. Kevin Swenson, who was raised in Bountiful, Utah, attended business school at Westminster College before earning his law degree from the University of Utah. He is a co-founding partner of Swenson & Shelley and has practiced personal injury law in Utah for more than three decades.
Swenson was separately named a 2026 Legal Elite honoree by Utah Business earlier this year, recognized in the publication’s Personal Injury category alongside other attorneys from across the state. Utah Business described him as “a skilled and well-respected attorney” in its recognition of his work.
Brian Shelley earned his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and is licensed to practice in both Utah and California. He focuses his practice on serious personal injury matters, including complex accident and injury claims that require extensive litigation preparation.
Both attorneys represent injury victims throughout Utah and neighboring states, handling cases involving car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, and wrongful death claims. Their approach includes both negotiated settlements and litigation on behalf of injured clients, depending on the circumstances of each case and the jurisdiction in which it is filed.
